Below are some frequently asked questions about what it takes to host a concert at your church.
Is there a cost to the host church? - It all depends on the event, but usually there is no cost to the host church. Fuse takes care of all the financial obligations required to bring the artist or tour to the area. Occasionally we ask that the host church cover some of the expenses or that they guarantee selling a set number of tickets to the event, but this is determined on a event by event basis. By signing up to be a potential host site we would contact you when there is an opportunity to host an event that we feel might be a good fit and any financial responsibilities would be laid out in advance and you can agree to host or pass based on those details.
Do you need a certain size church or number of seats to host an event? - No, churches of all sizes are needed! The seating capacity, stage size, and other details about your building will determine if a tour or artist is a good fit for your church, but whether you can seat 200 or 2,000 we can make it work.
Do we need a good sound and lighting system to host events? - No. Depending on the event the artist may use your church's sound system, but if one is not available that meets the artist's requirements we can bring our own production for the event. Stage lighting always adds to the event experience, but is usually not required and if it is and your church does not have lighting that meets the artist's requirements then we can bring this in also.
Do we get to choose the artists or tours we host? Absolutely! You always get the final say on who is ministering in your building. Typically, we would contact you when we have an artist or tour coming through the area with details on the artist and requirements needed to host. You can pass if you don't think it's a good fit. If you have specific artists you'd like to bring to your church we are always open to suggestions and can usually work out an opportunity to bring specific artists in.
