We recently announced that Connect Festival would not be holding the event on Cape Cod in 2019, but would instead focus on the fall of 2020 for the next event. Click here to read that announcement which explains the reasoning behind that decision. However, that doesn't mean that we're not actively working on the 2020 festival. Bringing back Connect in 2018 took almost two years of planning and fundraising and therefore, we have to get to work now to be ready for 2020!
One of the things we learned putting on Connect in 2018 is that we need a huge team to produce an outreach event of that size. That is why we're starting to build out Connect 2020 team now! If you have a passion for sharing the love of Jesus using large-scale outreach events we want you!
Joining the Connect Festival team is not a huge time commitment. You put in the time as you can. Typically, team members are sent an email when certain needs present themselves and they respond to offer assistance as they are able. Some tasks we foresee needed help with include:
- Help with mailings (stuffing envelopes, etc.)
- Help with fundraising events
- Social media marketing/sharing
- Calling churches
- Assistance soliciting donors/sponsors
- Recruiting volunteers
- Managing teams at events
We can't do it alone! Thousands of people came to Cape Cod to hear the Gospel in 2018 thanks to our amazing team and we need even more help to pull this off in 2020.
