"Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:16-20
It's all about the Gospel!
As believers, we have been instructed by Jesus himself to spread the gospel. Fuse Ministries has utilized large event evangelism to accomplish this since 2009 with events increasing in size to current day Connect Festival which attracts an audience of over 3,000 people from all over the Northeast. These large evangelistic events utilize music from top names in Contemporary Christian Music, testimony from artists and speakers throughout the day, a Gospel message and a concert/worship at the close of the evening.
We can't do this on our own however. Like most large scale evangelical opportunities, we need the support of the local church to pull off these events in our communities. That is why we're asking churches to unite with us in this amazing opportunity we have to spread the love and hope of Jesus in a big way!
What if all the church leaders & their congregations banded together in unity under Christ?
Can you imagine what would be possible if we all joined together in prayer, partnership, and proclamation to share the extraordinary love & hope we share in Jesus?
How many lives could we impact? How would our communities change?
Why large event evangelism?
Provide an opportunity for many people to hear and respond to the Gospel
Promote unity between believers
Bring Christians together to refocus on the Gospel and the Great Commission.
Get the attention of the community (places the message of Christ in the public eye in a way difficult to ignore).
Encourage believers to share their faith with family and friends.
Connect people in need of a church home (including new believers) with a strong local church community.
What's different about Connect Festival?
Sharing the Gospel can be an intimidating task for many Christians. Our prayer is that Connect Festival gives believers an easy way to invite their friends and family to hear the Gospel who may not normally except an invitation to Sunday morning church. So we don't use terms like "crusade" or "revival" as they can be intimidating to non-believers. Instead Connect Festival is a music festival with top names in Christian music, but also has a major focus on testimony and the Gospel. Additionally, our events are not centered around hearing from one particular preacher or evangelist. You'll hear from multiple people throughout the day and different evangelists each year. This, we believe, takes the focus off of us and more on the message. Finally, we don't "count salvations" or have a "raise your hand if you prayed that prayer" moment. We believe these moments can make people feel like they're just a number and can tempt us to focus on numbers and not relationships. We do give people an opportunity to respond to the Gospel and offer prayer and resources to those who do respond, but we just don't do "number tracking".
What are the ministry's short & long term plans?
In the short term, we pray we'll be able to hold Connect Festival annually on Cape Cod. Currently, we've committed to hosting the festival every other year. The only reason we don't hold it annually is because it currently takes almost a full two years to raise the funds needed to hold the festival and keep general admission tickets free. So the first thing we plan to do as soon as we're financially able to to hold the festival annually. Long term we pray we'll be able to expand to multiple free-admission festivals in different regions in order to reach even more people (Connect Fest North, South, East, and West for example).
What are the funds we pledge used for?
A typical Connect Festival costs between $50,000 and $70,000 which goes to renting the venue, permits, public safety (police, fire, and EMT details), crowd control, production costs (staging, sound, and lights), artist and speaker honorarium and travel expenses, lodging, food and beverage, and equipment rentals. All funds pledged will go toward these expenses.
